Domaine du Monteillet’s Stéphane Montez’s family have been growing grapes in the Northern Rhône for ten generations and today have 23 hectares of prime vineyards in Condrieu, Côte Rôtie and Saint-Joseph. Domaine du Monteillet ‘La Syrah à Papa’, Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes wine is a youthful, peppery Syrah from an iconic winemaker of the northern Rhône. Classic smoky, peppery notes on the nose with lush, red fruit on the palate. Robust yet balanced, this is a stunning mouthful of youthful Syrah. Serve with a good old classic Lancashire hotpot, barbecued steak, roast pork with fennel garlic or wild mushroom linguine.
